Purchased this xrj01z saw over the traditional xrj04x. Removed it from the box and installed a Diablo bimetal 6inch blade for cutting wood and nails. Started cutting through an old floor joist and the blade guide broke. Home Depot was gracious and allowed me to return it and upgrade to the xrj04x. This drill is very powerful and and can get the job done. The drill is pretty light weight and comes complete with a heavy duty travel case. This drill also comes with an extra battery and a charger. This was purchased during the 2018 Black Friday Deal and it came with x4 BL1850 batteries (separate packaging) I have been using this kit for over a year now and it has standed to everything I could have expected. Pros: Durability, Brushless, Power, Quite, Lightweight, different options of batteries

Let me say that I have many Makita Products and not a single one ever let me down. This saw was the first Makita product I returned because the saw is way under powered. I bought the saw because i needed a saw without cable and small enough to get in tide spaces to cut nails on pallets. This saw works really well. It is lightweight and easy to operate with either hand since you can easily see where the blade contacts the wood from either side. I wondered if it would have enough power but it really cuts fast and clean. Also I doesn't seem to be as loud, when cutting, as my big corded circular saw.
